Casino language can sound like code. These are the words you will meet across live rooms, slots, crash rounds and table games, with short definitions.
Each definition here is general and applies to casino games in general, not only to one operator. Vocabulary protects you because figures such as RTP and house edge are often quoted in friendlier terms than their size warrants. Read the sections in order, or jump to the word you just met. Nothing on this page predicts what a round will do.
Grouping terms by what they describe makes them easier to remember and easier to apply at the table.
House edge, RTP and variance describe the maths behind each game.
Payline, shoe, wheel and multiplier describe the equipment and how a round is built.
Stake, side bet and push describe the wagers you place and how they settle.
Limit, cooling-off period and self-exclusion describe the tools that keep play within a budget.
Start with these six, since most other terms build on them.
The expected share of all stakes that the casino keeps over the long run, expressed as a percentage.
Return to player, the long-run percentage of stakes paid back to players. It describes an average, not a single session.
The amount you put on one round. Keeping stakes small relative to your budget makes a session last longer.
The total you set aside for play. Once it is gone the session is over, whatever the screen still shows.
How widely results swing around the average. High variance means bigger swings in both directions.
A statement of how likely an outcome is, or how well it pays, depending on the format.
Terms tied to particular game types, so you can read a rules panel without guessing.
A line on which matching slot symbols pay out when they land in a row.
A growing number applied to a stake in a crash round, which pays the stake times the number at exit.
A first-two-card total of eight or nine in baccarat, which ends the round at once.
The top hand in Teen Patti, made of three cards of the same rank.
The card shown first in Andar Bahar, whose rank decides which side wins.
One of the numbered slots on a roulette wheel that the ball can settle in.
Numbers make the words stick. Each example uses round figures, so the arithmetic can be checked in a few seconds.
At a two percent edge, a total of one hundred units staked is expected to return about ninety-eight units over a long run.
Two slots can share one RTP and still feel different: one pays small amounts often, the other pays rarely but in larger sums.
Exiting at 2.00x with a stake of ten units returns twenty units. A crash at 1.50x before the exit returns nothing.
A budget of 100 units with ten-unit stakes covers about ten rounds, so a smaller stake is the way to stretch that budget.

Not every phrase used in the casino appears here, and some titles define their own words. Check the game's own explanation before acting on a term you do not know.
Many titles explain their own terms in an information or rules panel, which is the first place to look.
Customer support can clarify what a term means in a particular game, so ask before you place the bet.
If a term is still unclear, do not play the game until it makes sense.
Common mix-ups, cleared up one at a time.
No. It describes a long-run average across all players, not the result of your own session.
They are two sides of one number. A 96 percent RTP means a four percent house edge.
No. Volatility measures how bumpy results are, and total risk also depends on the size of your stake and session.
An optional extra wager, usually with a larger edge than the main bet.
A request to be locked out of play for a set time. Baji offers it for a period between 6 months and 5 years, and it cannot be reversed during that period.
They are general casino terms, so they apply to most casino games, including those in the Baji lobby.
